Abstract

Hypertension is a deadly disease that causes complications and affects the quality of life. Quality of life is one of the indicators for assessing a person's health, so this study is important as an indicator of the success of hypertension treatment. This study aimed to determine patients' quality of life with hypertension at the Guntur Garut Health Center. This research was quantitative descriptive. The population in this study was 215 people with hypertension who underwent treatment at the Guntur Garut Health Center. The sampling technique used the non-random sampling technique with a sample size of 140 people with hypertension. This study used the European Quality of Life 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) instrument consisting of five domains: mobility (ability to walk/move), self-care, usual activity, and pain/discomfort, anxiety/depression, and consists of 15 questions. This instrument was valid (r> 0.30) and reliable (Cronbach Alpha = 0.72). Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the average respondent had a value of 63.51. The domains that have the best value are the domain of self-care (76.22), usual activities (73.26), the ability to walk (70.95), and the domain that has the lowest score, namely anxiety/depression (52.35) and pain/discomfort (44,75). Of the five domains, two domains, pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression, have the lowest average value.
