Effect of Blood Sugar Levels on the High Risk of Diabetic Foot Incidence
Abstract
Foot complications are considered to be a serious and fatal consequence of diabetes mellitus, posing a huge medical and economical threat. Identifying the extent of this problem and its risk factors will enable for health providers to set up better prevention programs.. The research method used was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. A total of 40 respondens taken apart on the research. Population Research was taken at dr. Chreslina Subagyo clinic for 1 months ( June 2020) by adhering to the COVID-19 health protocol. Respondents of this study were the Prolanis Group of dr. Chreslina Subagyo clinic who met the inclusion criteria. The population studied were all members of the Prolanis group who suffered from type I and type II.The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Collecting data of blood sugar level done by measurement of 3 different time of random blood sugar checking. The risk of diabetic foot incidence using the diabetic foot early detection assessment format. Data analyzed by Plum Ordinal Regression. Based on the parameter estimates value, p-value for Rate GD = 0,000, which means that blood sugar affects the risk of foot diabetes. Risk factors for diabetic foot complications are highly prevalent; they have put these complications at a higher rate and warrant primary and secondary prevention programs to minimize morbidity and mortality in addition to economic impact of the complications.
