Implementation of Poskestren Program Based on Health Promotion Strategies at Islamic Boarding
Abstract
Islamic boarding schools that have Poskestren in Kediri City are 39 boarding schools. Based on the level of poskestren development, it is known that ten poskestren need to be considered more, where the level of poskestren development still exists in a low-level position or called pratama. This study uses qualitative methods to explore the Poskestren program implementation in Islamic boarding schools based on health promotion strategies. Data collection was carried out by observation and in-depth interviews with four informants to get more detailed information. Advocacy executed at the Al Amin Poskestren took the form of a Boarding School Community Consultative Meeting, which was carried out by several cross-sectors.Community empowerment activities are carried out by Public Health Center health workers in the form of cadre formation, counseling, and training for cadres of husada students, and others. Partnership is to establish integrated cooperation and get support for the Poskestren Program. Community development has been given an approach or introduction and assistance to the management of the boarding school by Public Health Center health workers so that the Al Amin Poskestren Program can be implemented effectively and efficiently. In addition, there was an increase in the development of Al Amin Poskestren from 2019 to 2020.
