Self Efficacy Related to Family Stress in Schizophrenia Patients

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder and andical condition that affect the brain function of patients, affect patients brain function, affectcognitife normal fuancation emotional and behavior. This greatly influences schizophrenia care which can increase family stress. Family stress is a problem or demand for self-adjustment caused by people’s stigma,family members blame each other, difficulty understanding in accepting the pain suffered by family members. In solving family health problems influenced by self-confidence or Self Efficacy. This study aimed to determine the Relationship of Self Efficacy with Family Stress on Schizophrenia Patients. The research design used a  descriptive correlation with the Cross-Sectional approach. 384 people in for this study was the whole family of patients who had family members of schizophrenia . The sampling technique was a purposive sampling in getting a sample of 79 respondents. The statistical test used the chi-square statistical test. The results obtained from respondents that low majority self-efficacy was 86.1%, and the majority of family stress was hard of 65.8%. The results of the statistical tests showed that there was a relationship of self efficacy with family stress on patients with schizophrenia (0,000; p <0.05).
